NAPA sells a tool and clamp rings. The tool is in their KD tool catalog. I've got one.You gonna race that thing?

Use nylon zip ties. The low profile clamps are hard to find, except from the boot kit. I have zip ties on my boots and they work fine.
Don't use gear oil in your CV, use wheel bearing grease. Grease is oil with an additive that makes it thick so that it stays in place.BP powered 91 Festiva L

I used a wire tie on the small end of one on my yellow car. Not particularly proud of it  but it does seem to be holding up after 10k miles or so. There was just no way I was going to take the thing back apart after I discovered I'd left the band off!
