Where did you all get your CV boot clamps?!?!?

While we are on this subject I have to replace the boots on my b6t axles, does anybody know some from another car that would fit this axle so I can avoid the hassle of over priced boots and special ordering, thanks in advance.

Hey how do I make sure I have the right amount of gear oil in there? because when I replace the shafts it's going to leak everywhere and then I'll have to fill it up thanks... I just maxed it out on my carbed to FI car...

I just used autozone universal boots and cut them down as per the instructions,,

Use nylon zip ties. The low profile clamps are hard to find, except from the boot kit. I have zip ties on my boots and they work fine.

Don't use gear oil in your CV, use wheel bearing grease. Grease is oil with an additive that makes it thick so that it stays in place.

I used a wire tie on the small end of one on my yellow car. Not particularly proud of it :roll: but it does seem to be holding up after 10k miles or so. There was just no way I was going to take the thing back apart after I discovered I'd left the band off!

zip ties is what i use also.....they seem to have held up on every set of cv's i've rebuilt
