is the cold weather doing something???

hey guys,

since this cold snap hit, my festy has been making weird 'grinding' noises every time i go over speed bumps, pot holes, or certain curves in the road. I just got my car back from the shop last week, and all the bearings are fine and the lower ball joints where also recently replaced (both sides). This only happens at low speeds. The bigger the bump, the louder the scraping/grinding. Could this be due to the cold? It seems like its coming from the front right side.

Sway bar bushings and rubber suspension components make a lot of extra noise when it is very cold , them mix that with a little salt , and the you have even more noise .

Spray off all the suspension , under the car if you can then treat it with a healthy dose of spray lubricant , see if that helps .

Sway bar ends where they attach to the lower arms and where they mount to the front , to the frame
