On some festivas the cold is the sole problem. Mine bounces in my daily driver when cold but not in my others.

It's not cold here. So thats not the problem. I'm now thinking the cable may have taken a set over the last 16 years. And was binding in the new position. Again, how do I clean the old cable? Where do I get the graphite oil?

Remove the cable from the car and you'll see how it comes apart. The inner just pulls out. Do a search on this site to see what others have used for lube. I remember this came up at the begining of winter.
