  • Interior Dome Light?

I bought a replacement dome light for my Festiva, and it doesn't seem to be working. The dome light that I have is the big version with the map lights built in. Does the body act as a ground to the roof of the car?

Yes. It needs to be bolted to the body. If still not working then swith the wires.

Cool, I figured it out a little while ago. It is so nice having a dome light! When I bought the car it had the cheaper smaller version dome light, and it didn't work. Now i'm flossin.

I just fixed my dome light tonight. The "circuit board" was really corroded on the ground side. It was so bad I had to drill out the rivets to clean it up enough to work. Just something to check.
Currently Festiva-less. Please don't hate me

Thanks Diego, I think thats what was wrong with my old dome light. I never could find any real reason why it didn't work. But after looking at the two options for dome lights I wanted the map light version fixture. The light is kickin now, and its actually alot brighter than I expected. The map lights themselves suck though. I guess you can't have it all in life.--Jeremie
