crank sensor 89 auto efi?

anyone know where the crank sensor is on a 89 auto efi, think its on the transmission not sure thats it. i know on the newer ones with the different dist. its incorporated into the distributor. have intermitent stalling problem when i go to restart it almost seems like the car is out of time, but its not.
