  • Alternator question

Does anyone know if the alternator from a late 80's Mazda 323 B6 will fit in a '92 Festiva?

    Thanks in advance

Does it have a manufacturer or part number stamped on it?
I haven't looked at my alternator but Mitsibushi supplied most of the electronics for the Festiva.
If you call a junk yard they might be able to tell you.
The big ones have parts cross reference indexes.

It will fit but the plugs aren't the same. It turned out that the alternator was fine. The problem turned out the be that the main bottom bolt had fallen out  The alternator was just hanging on by the adjusting bolt. Fortunately I had another bolt with the Mazda alternator. All fixed now and running great
