Water Problems

I have been having problems with water buildup on the floor in the driver's side of my '91 L.
There is about 1/4-1/2 inch of water on the floor board above the carpet. It's only on the driver's side.
This is the second time that I have had trouble with water buildup.

Any ideas for causes?

Is the spare tire well filling up? I'd say check the taillight gaskets, door gaskets, 1/4 glass gaskets and hatch gasket. I have also seen rust eat a hole under the wipers towards the fenders. That's one that's hard to fix.

maybe check under the car too around the footwell pan for bodyrot. i,ve had the corners of mine rust out and got a footbath when driving in the rain.

My Festiva rusted out at the corner of the plenum just above the main wiring harness.
