  • Blower doesn't work on 1993 Ford Festiva

I had this problem last winter and sometimes it would work and sometimes not. Now this winter, the blower/fan doesn't work at all.

Any suggestions on what the problem is. My car has fusable links (if this matters).

    TIA

possibly from being cold and contraction it is pulling the connections apart.

Mine does this too. I tap it a couple times and it fires right up. Something with the motor windings probably.

probably the brushes have worn to the point where the springs can't keep them in contact with what i think is called the stator. i used to have to tap mine also till it got to the point of having to replace. not a real hard job.

Most likely corroded terminals.. Pull all the plugs off and clean them.. seen it a bunch of times. there are 2 sets.. 1 behind the control and 1 on the blower motor itself.

              Thanks.

I just give the blower a few light kicks (just to the right of the gas pedal)
and the fan started working again.
