what holds the shifter in the floor? problem is mine fell thru the floor.. i just pulled it back up and it seems fine. what's supposed to hold it in the floor? i cant figure what's supposed to hold it in there.

The rubber gromet is held in by the body floor. It is slightly larger then the part it fits into. Maybe someone could post a picture of the anti-drop bracket and you could make one.

I've had a Festiva interior clothes hanger hook attached to mine for years.. Rummel sells a steel version. Either way, drill a hole screw the hook in so it catches the plate around the shifter from underneath. Viola! Done.
