  • Noob brake question

I need to remove the rear drums on my 91 festiva but am not sure how to do so. I have never worked on a car with lug studs and dont wanna mess it up as its my daily driver for now. I did search and couldnt find what I needed. I know this is a very noob question but w/o a repair manual and no where to buy one right now this was my last resort. thanks guys.

you have to take the nut off in the center. the bearings will come out then the drum will come off.

Go to ebay for decent prices on Ford shop manuals and Haynes manuals. I wouldn't pay more than $23 for a shop or $14 for a Haynes, shipping included.

Be careful on the right rear spindle. I think they were all reverse threaded. Some may not have been, though. If it turns slightly and then gets really hard, it's reverse threaded!! Go the other way, and remember this when you put it back together.

      Get thee a manual!
