transmission exploded!!!

exactly as the title says, my transmission exploded! i cracked a chunk of the case off! i was mad at first then i realized that i just busted a tranny open with a mean 63 horsepower and started laughing. im goin to the junkyard this week and gettin another one.

i just want to know what could cause this to happen. it cracked off around the speedo gear hole. could this have come from powershifting, burnouts, etc.?

Have you taken it apart, it is possible one of your gears had a stress fracture from a bad casting and it broke while spinning and busted a whole in your tranny. I really couldn't tell without a picture.

If it is just a crack, my guess is you beat your car :-) I have only seen BP's and B6T's crack cases though :-)

hahaha i like to have fun with my vehicles, whether it be the best thing for them or not. if it breaks, i know how to fix it but unfortunately theres no fix to this one. i have to replace the whole tranny.

and yes, gforcefd, your assumption is correct! i do indeed beat my car. but its not just a crack, theres a chunk missing!! haha i guess my stock b3 is nastier than those BP's or B6T's!
