Purpose of this post:
I'm testing a new fuel catalyst and want everthing optomized for the test.
My questions are about tire pressure as it effects fuel economy:
I have an "89" Ford Festiva, 1.6L no Air & everything is stock.
I am currently running my Tire Pressure @ 35psi Frt / 28psi Rear. A friend of mine said he thought I was way off the mark for optimum gas milage.
When I ask him where he got his information, he pointed me to FordFestiva.com. I used the search feature here searching for "Tire Pressure", and couldn't find what I'm looking for. Probably too trivial a question but here are my questions .......
What is the factory recommended Tire Pressure front and rear for an 89 Festiva with 155SR12's?
In your estimation, is the factory recommended PSI lower than it should be? Do you think they recommend a lower pressure to improve ride?
What is the best tire pressure settings you have found for an "89" Ford Festiva, 1.6L with 155SR12's, no Air & everything is stock, to optomize gas milage?
Thanks,
Mike C.
