Kyle and I got the engine in my '88L mostly hooked up today, and we hope to try and crank it tomorrow to see if it fires or not.
Before I do that, I want to make sure there are no problems.
This engine sat outside all winter, and snow and rain got all over the engine and into the carb.
We poured SeaFoam down the carb and into the cylinders, to give it a good cleaning.
I'm worried that the carb may have been damaged from its exposure to the outdoors, even though everything looks and works fine. Do you think it will be ok, or should I do more before trying to start the engine?
Also, would the SeaFoam take care of any rust that may have formed in the cylinders, or should I add some oil as well?
Regards,
Tim
