  • fender removal?

    hey how do i take the fenders off the aspire, do i just remove the bolts then it comes off? and i know theres bolts in the engine bay but are there others?
    2007 Ford Taurus 23-25MPG
    1976 Chevy Silverado (my toy)
    1951 Ford Deluxe, being rebuilt

    Not sure if it's the same with an Aspire, but my Festiva has a bolt by the door hinges, 2 in the wheelwell by the door, some screws in the bumper, and bolt or 2 under the headlight trim thing.

      Dude i know your quite smart , , your able to work on cars, identify problems, You should be able to take off a fender.... Not making fun of you but I think you rely on this site too much ,, you should go on your own instincts.... You can do it,,,, undo all the bolts you can see,,,,, then wigggle the fender, the place that doesnt wiggle still has a bolt,,,,

        no its just ive NEVER pulled one and dont know if it would be spot welded anywhere thats why im posting lol

          A fender would never be spot-welded to the frame/unibody of a car...ever

            acutally ive heard of cars that are, been awhile but there are SOME that do it hence the reason im asking lol.

              yes there are cars that have fenders welded to them... i was just talking about that the other day with someone, but i forget which car we were discussing at that point...

              luckily (on a festy at least) removing a fender takes like 5min, but when i did my mom's van it took like 20min.
