  • HOW TO STORE A PARTS CAR??????

as you know from my other posts i have a goods parts car with only 77000 kilometers .
so far i have checked the oil - good and coolant-good hooked up jumper pack and with a little advice from here pushed in the safty button in the rear of the car and it started right up even sounds better than my daily driver festiva.

so what i am wondering is this???
how shal i store this car.
bad whack on passenger side that is not worth trying to start to fix so just parts it will be.
the motor is my main concern.
all i came up with is yankin plugs and gooping the threads with antisieze.
other than that what you guys think?????

    thanks

get a gallon of cheap motor oil (thin)
one oil sprayer that connects to an air compressor

soak everything on the outside with an oil spray.
I have found cheap ATF works better... it cleans off easier and has the benifit of a light cleaning effect as it sits and soaks into the dirt on the frame and undersides... then when you pressure wash it off its like new metal..
as for the engine if it runs, idle it for 15 min once a month to keep the thing loose, and rig it to suck fresh gas out of a small can.

now this is messy, but if done right you can sit a car on blocks for 100 yrs and it wont rust or sieze up.

    add oil every few yrs.

you may be thinkin of brake fluid.
as far as i know atf is ok.
but i just used 10 w 30 and soaked it good.
i was also told to keep out mice but i dismissed that idea as the interior is all out.
i also got another parts car with lots of miles but it was 20 bucks.
the guy had to get it off his front lawn cuz the police were hassling him.
          later
