Whats that sick noise coming from my engine

any idea what that sick squealing/ratteling noise is? And no the smoke wasn't coming from the engine, the wind was just blowing the wrong way.

Sounds like your throwout bearing's going bad.

What area is it coming from? Front , rear, top, bottom? It would help to know this.

thats part of the clutch, correct? I was told that the clutch was replaced less than a year ago. Im not sure, it sounds more like its coming from the passenger side of the engine to me.

Could be a timing belt or tensioner over on that side. Possibly the alternator belt.

Well i replaced the timing belt and when i did that i cleaned up the tensioner real good. the alternator belt isnt the best, i was going to replace it but they were outta stock, so i put it off since im not driving the car yet. It sounds like it only squeals when your give it some throttle.

i have a bad throwout/release bearing and it makes a loud rattling when in neutral and running and clutch is not engaged. it also sometimes make a high squeal during rev.
does yours rattle with the clutch disengaged?

it seems like its the exhaust pipe rattling

at-least its not something worse
