It does it only when the brakes are involved and no other time ?
How do your brakes feel ?
Has anyone worked under the hood recently since this started ?
I was thinking maybe a vacuum line , or the diaphragm has a internal leak in the booster , creating a large vac. leak when you hit the brakes .
It could be something else , but with your info , that is all that I can think of at the moment------------------------------------------------

My experience with the same type of problem (Car stalls when brake applied) was indeed the Vacuum Booster for the brakes.
You can verify this by plugging off the hose that goes to the booster and hitting the brakes. If it doesn't stall with the vacuum line disconnected and plugged, it is the brake booster.
Good Luck

I went out to take a look a mine immediately. My wife is driving my car right now and complained about this all last week. I removed and checked the hose for cracks. None. What I did noticed was that the hose near the intake had a little too much play even with the clamp installed. I cut a 1/4 inch off the hose and it fits much better now. Took the car for and test drive and guess what. I does not die now when I stop. If it starts again I will know to replace the booster and the hose.
Thanks A Million!
