transmision cooler

93 gl automatic with air conditioning.

i want to install a transmision cooler but airconditioning parts in front of the condenser limits the space. has anyone else installed one in the same car with airconditioning.

A transmission cooler? The radiator from the automatic cars cools the transmission right? why do you need to cool it off any more than it already is?

Trans heats up the engine , engine heats up the tranny .


Not on my Festy , but I have installed a large cooler on my truck , fluid runs thru it only , the engine runs cooler , as does the trans .

It does not need to be mounted up front , of vertical ,
I mounted mine flat , and it is under the bed , behind the rear end .

It has been that way since 1993 , never has a temp issue .

one trans line conector is under the perch that holds on the front stabalizer and hard to get to so i am thinking about the future if the radiator goes bad i do not have to the same problem again to disconect it.
