Heater Core

Has anyone ever figured out how to pull the heater core without having to take the whole dashboard out?

I have never done this but I would just follow a Festiva manual. Haynes or something of the like.
You've probably already thought of this though...

yeah, i've got the factory service manual, and it covers the whole thing. I just know that with some cars when they tell you that the dash needs to be pulled, there's a trick to get around it.

you may not have to pull it all the way out but you will have to move it back a bit. Being
integral with the fan unit makes it a real hassle, there just isn't enough room.
