  • Problems with 88-89 doors on a 90+?

OK, heres the problem, im pretty sure that my drivers side door is of an 88-89 because it was a darker shade of red compared to the rest of the car. The problem is i cant get it adjusted right! It dosent want to stay closed all the way, it springs back out. Now the door will latch and all but you cant just push it closed like my other door. You have to really pull it closed. It looks like the hinges stop when its about 6" from closed, then the hinges just flex. Would the hinges off an 90+ be different?

I got my passenger side door back on & adjusted perfectly, it clicks closed with just a nice light push.

I put a 88-89 door on my 93 without any of those problems. I just had to switch out the latch because of the auto seatbelts.

humm. i cant figure it out. it seems when the door is about 6" from closed the hinges are closed as far as they go, so for the door to close everything has to flex for the door to go the rest of the way in. Maybe ill have to try different hinges?
Maybe im not explaining this good enough.. ill have to post a video tomorrow.

I think I have a set of hinges if you need them.
