charging wire still getting hot

hey guys my alt charging wire is still getting hot enough to burn you, im not sure why.. i have a b6t in my festiva. and the wire that runs fromt he alt the white one, over to the engine bay fuse blcok the one with 3 little wires in it with the main on it.. well the harness is getting hot and melting the plastic off the othe wire that is int he fuse block only in the main thought... and also its getting hot right below the fuse blockwhere it connects to it.. i think some one pposted they had the same prob.. if so how cna i fix this? i already had to replace one alt becasue of this....any help would be great... thanks
