I changed my control arms this weekend....much better. But getting the new rubber bushings installed where the sway bar connects was a trick. I had to rig up a come-a-long and thin rope to compress them enough to get the washer and nut on. And had to be careful not to pull it off the jackstand. Have any of you rigged up some sort of clamp to make it easier?
12" tires are getting hard to find around here. A couple months ago Wal-Mart had a stack of them...now nothing. I found 4 at a local tire place that came off a wrecked car (like new) installed and balanced for $100...now she drives smooth. Are there 13" rims that I can find cheap that will mount up to my Festivas?
Replaced my speedo cable....not a very difficult job, but I thought that I could just remove the old cable and insert the new....didn't work....lengths were different....maybe different year car. So simply had to replace the whole shebang.
Recently painted the girl Sunrise Red Rust-O-Leum with the foam roller trick....beautiful!!

I used a couple of Jorgensen clamps for that (parallel jaw wooden things).

There is a stickey in the suspension forum that will help you find 13" wheels with the same bolt pattern. Mazda 323's (early ones) will work.
