it will idle but not rev untill warm???

when i start he car in summer (93 festiva) or winter it will idle well but step on the gas and sputter stall untill it warms up then all is well.
I changed the sending unit that is in the fuel injector intake around back of the engine and no better.
no big deal as it forces me to let it warm up 2 minutes befor driving .
milage is dam good at 45mpg in town and about the same on highway as it revs high at 110 kmh
love this car more than any other car i own.
my buddy has a smart car and wants to trade but i say no way!!

hmm not sure ut id check fuel filter... cheap easy to repalce.. might not be our prob.. but ya never know

I just took a 4 hour trip at speeds of 125kmh and no problems .
filter would show up there ya would think??

Try plugs and wires.

there's no cold start injector for our festies, but the ECM may not be compensating (cold enrichment) because it doesn't see a cold engine...

possible electrical problem that's temp related, that's my best guess at this point.

it was plus 14c today and raining.
I strated the car and as usaul it idles well but try to go and nothing it just sputters and shakes.
I think i will post a video so you can see what i mean.

my 91 did that and i traced it to a loose vaf plug and it helped out a little and put some of that electrical grease on the plug end. i pull a little on the wiring harness leading to the vaf meter and the rpm increased.
