Hot main fusable link

Any ideas? gets hot enough to almost burn you. Heat increses with rpm.
all accesories off. Volts at 13.67 steady. Cleaned the connections on the link. Car runs and drives just fine. Could the altenator be going bad. I havent figured out how to measure current on the link yet but its got to be more than 20 amps to get that hot.
