  • Tree house

Well after a year and a half of not working on my tree house I figured Id work on it this week. Finally got some materials. I'm working alone so it gets slower the higher I go. I'm hoping to get to deck level with the stairs this week. I finally accumulated enough free CCA lumber to start again thanks to someone adding on to their house and removing a deck. Here is a video of the tree house and some of the free lumber before I start on it. I'm afraid of heights after 30 feet. After that I can reach terminal velocity before I hit the ground.

That is very cool Marcus .

I think that will be real neat when you get it way up there and get the house done , then sleep out there , open up some windows , of even add a heater and use it in the winter .

I will have to take some pics of my Brother in law tree house / deer stand .

            Break time picture update.

Some more free lumber, the precut stringers and stairs will come in handy if I can get them up in the tree.

            Its pretty slow my myself....

Up the stairs, down the stairs

I say we have a Festy meet at Marcus's when it is done...or better yet, we show up to help him get it done...or at least a big dent in it.

Y'all need to come down !!!, and bring some refreshments with you. With six festys here already Ive got half a meet to start with. Seriously, anyone on the board coming through the area, stop in by all means. Id love some company..... Makes me think of a joke.

There was this guy in Montana and he didn't have any neighbors for miles. He decided he'd have a party so he drove to his nearest neighbor five mile away. He told the neighbor " I'm having a party why don't you come over". The neighbor said "great, what are you going to be doing at your party". The first guy says "well were going to have a little dancing, a little drinking, a little fighting, and a little messing around ".(G version) The second guy says " that sounds great who all is going to be there". The first guy says "just you and me".

PS No offense to anyone in Montana , I have an uncle there and love Montana. Thats just how I heard the joke.

No offense taken. In some parts of Montana it wouldn't suprise me. I've heard a joke a lot like that one about N. Dakota. I guess the states where we still ride our horse to work will never get a break.
