I have had a stock festiva to 105+. It is hard to tell how fast you are going once you pass 85, unless you have a tach.

I buried the speedo on my 93 efi 5 speed, then the the tach kept climbing, then after it climbed some more the speedo needle started bouncing of of the trip reset. The wipers were dancing too.

93 stock festiva, ran with a couple of friends from orlando to daytona beach down I-4, less than 1000 miles on her, did 113 with a draft, according to both their speedos........

everytime i try to bury my speedo my festiva wants to wander all over the road and at 160+KPH (100+MPH) it gets a bit scary on a back road

That confirms somebody else here who claimed 113 on radar for a stock efi 5 speed.

Yeh, we all had CB's ( remember those?) and it took awhile to go from about 105 to 113

A stock five speed will top 100mph without vibration or being all over the road. Noname is right, top speed for a five speed on level ground, no wind is about 105 maybe a little faster with a tail wind and a slight downgrade. If your car is a death wish at that speed you need to fix it. Here is my vid. Not meant to prove top end but to show what RPM= What MPH. It was near 90 without any trouble at all. I have no reservation about it period. Cause I know the car is sound. Maybe packrat could get us a radar and put this argument to rest .
