I'd like to see that in daylight just to see how steep the side of the road drops off.

Was that you doing some tooje?Originally posted by Omgloltokyodrift View PostHahaha!
I guess it was a "closed course" to take the chances like that, other wise, too scary. Great driving though....Contact me for information about Festiva Madness!

I've been thinking about doing the Aspire swap, but I can't have this car down for any amount of time right now. 4x100 is tempting me because of Miata wheels wrapped in Azenis. But then the suspension would have to be rock solid for no rub...Originally posted by carbonvmax View PostMan that looked scary. Looks like somebody needs an Aspire rear beam and brake swap.
Fake license plate??? =POriginally posted by MONSOON View PostIts always a good idea to give a nice clean shot of your license plate... The cops appreciate it.:knob:
Cool drive though. I bet with some beefed up suspension itd be really fun.
The tires were brand new, but this was the last of like, eight runs that night. There was kind of a line to ride along in the car. This particular video is with three people in the car...Originally posted by brianallmotor View Postwow- stone walls along the outer edges of the road?? must be a good drop off there, especially if it's 6minutes to the bottom of the mountain.
i dont think the shot of the license plate really matters much...i dont think it was his car. look at how he is driving- me thinks he stole it.
on a serious note, if you watch the beginning you will notice the rear tires are brand new. the tire sticker was ripped off, and the glue made dirt stick in the shape of a tire sticker. i would have to guess that the front tires would most likely be new too.

It's a Mazda at heart. I hate Mazdas and love them at the same time. Love hate thing.Originally posted by FoxProGT View Postwow....whether he loves that car or not.... that looked like epic fun!
No traffic because we have people blocking the road. Weeknights have little to no traffic at 2 or 3 a.m., and most people up there are up there for the same reason.Originally posted by freshtiva View PostIm impressed, where do you find a road like that w/o traffic . It was kind of like the Blair Witch Project. What was the follow car. ? Pretty nice festiva footage Id say.
At 4:50 it's hard to tell by the shadows, but the car was in the air. When it landed is when it looks a little loose. If you take the turn tighter, you can fly through the air sideways.Originally posted by packrat427 View PostWOW ..No wonder he chews up a set of tires in 1 night .
Almost kicked it and lost it at 4:50
On YouTube, look up gyrenejoe's account. He has a few daytime videos. Reece80 also has a few.Originally posted by gottafesty View PostI'd like to see that in daylight just to see how steep the side of the road drops off.
I LOVE that quote. I read it and then watched the video again, and couldn't stop laughing!Originally posted by Sp33dY View PostLOL .... "a better setup Festiva that doesnt roll around like a tugboat in a storm" .

i've done a little of that kind of stuff, but i'm always afraid of oncoming trafic b/c it wasn't closed course, so i try not to do it. Now that i have my festy fairly well modded, i actually think sometimes it was more fun on stock wheels/tires and susp... you don't have to be going as fast to feel like your going really fast! I sure wouldn't change it back to stock though.
i say, as long as its closed course, keep it up!! I'd love to try it, it looks like loads of fun!!!~Nate
