I made some new videos of the 2005 racing season including in-car. The in-car videos have extremely loud sound so turn down your volume before playing. I didn't realize they were so loud until after I had finished them.
I made some new videos for the site including the roll over that destroyed the #46. The car rolled one and a half times and came to rest on the roof. This did very little damage, but a fraction of a second after it stopped rolling, a rookie driving his first feature race, never lifted when he entered the dust cloud. He struck the #46 in the left front so hard that it rolled the car another turn and a half and landed on its wheels. The driver of the 46 received only brush burns on both sides of his neck from the belts.
I video tape our races from the grandstands and over the years I've heard the people around me refer to the Festiva by many different names, a POS, a shoebox, that thing, and a Yugo among others. A couple weeks ago the race announcer at a track, we visited for the first time gave the Festiva a new name, "The Box Rocket". The Festiva finished second which wasn't too bad considering we never set tires on that track before. The track was located in Woodhull, NY, which was a 186 mile tow for us. I made both an in-car and spectator view video of the race. There isn't anything too exciting in the videos other than the pass of the Ford Probe GT for second place.
The videos are at: http://www.sdfcomputers.com/festivavids.htm
Love your work, Ive shown your videos to all my friends who make fun of my festivas. I always laugh when the other rear drive cars are fishtailing in the corners and you are holding a straight line and making time on them. You're my new hero, pushing the festiva envelope. Keep up the good work!!! Maybe they'll call you the "flying festiva" when they learn a little respect. Really enjoyed the videos.

Thanks freshtiva. Our home track starts Memorial Day weekend. We will be video taping again this year, so check the site for future videos.
jmll, I read your rules and we wouldn't be legal to run there. First, it looks like the class is RWD only and I could add weight to make the minimum 2000 pounds, but there is no way to stretch a 90" wheelbase to 102".
Part of the rules say "Must have a hole cut in dash on left top top 6”x 6” with a removable or hinged lid". WTH is that for???
