  • Awesome video for custom headlights

Hey guys, stumbled upon this video, and gave me a lot of ideas for custom Festiva headlights, either HID or projector. Here's the first part; it's a 4 part series, just check the related videos to find the other parts. Mad skills!!! Enjoy!!!

Part 1 of 4. In this part you will see how to remove the lens, remove the reflector, level the reflector, and confirm your halogen aim.
The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!

I could get these for my aspire and then cut the old lense centers out.

This is the better version of that vid, haha just watched in then. I agree about clear lenses thought about it for a while. Might just fab some up.

This is a tutorial step by step video sequence with captions on how to build your own HID projector headlights. We (www.IznTrbl.com) filmed one of our customers…

I know that video series and used it as inspiration for a retrofit on my '93 Grand Marquis.

I had fluted lenses so I did have to make plexiglass/lexan lenses. Wasn't hard, just had to cut the fluted part off of the lenses and epoxied on a flat plexiglass piece on in place of it. I used a thick adhesive backed plastic that's made for headlights called lamin-x to keep it from scratching and yellowing.

Anyways, after that, it was just a bunch of cutting and bolting and fabricating: that was all before the Morrimoto Mini came out... wish I could have waited.

It'd be easy for you festiva guys to retrofit projectors. The Morrimoto Mini's bolt into an H4 bulb hole and perform as well as OEM projectors. Relatively cheap too...

The parts source for everything HID is: www.theretrofitsource.com - commonly referred to as T.R.S. on hidplanet forums.

HID without projectors is a sin. Honestly, there is almost no good reflector housing for HIDs, not even OEMs

DDM's raptor kit is around $50 shipped including ballasts and bulbs.

Please, though. Don't put them in the stock reflectors.
