  • my 1st attempt at a time-lapse vid...

    i was up late last night and playing with my camera and tried to get a time-lapse of a sun rise but it ran out of batt... it started at about 3:30am and it ran out of batt at about 6ish... im guessing... what do you think?

    what camera do you have? a full batt should go a little longer than that....

      its a nikon p80... i just forgot to charge the batt up to full lol... it was a bit over 35%/40%... something like that.... my sis had a old nikon cam that got droped in water and the bat got all tosted but its the same as mine so i think ill take it apart and attach some wires to the contacts, then hook it up to this power supply i have, then it can go forever and long as there is no power outage lol...

              That's a lot of sunlight for 0330hrs.

              Of course, I can't think of a time I was up before 0600 where i wasn't in pursuit of venison.

              Looks good, I like the effect of the tree leaves becoming visible half way through.

                ^^being north of the 49th parallel will do that. When I lived up north it just never got dark in the summer

                        That is very cool !! I need to read my camera manual and see if I can do that. I can think of all sorts of things to film. It looked like in your video that it got light then slighty darker again right before sunrise. I wondered if thats what is meant by the old saying "its darkest just before dawn."

                              ok cam is rolling i set it up at about 1:45 and will end it when the sun is out of the shot. im hoping the batt will last long enough... i used a diffrent setting and insted of showing the pic on the 3? inch screen every time it takes one it will show it on the viewer thing that you stick your eye too lol... (as you can see im a camera pro ) ill upload it as soon as its finished i hope it turns out good.....
