Note how little movement was seen in the back end of the aspire as the front end was being impacted.
Nice demonstration of a KE weapon.
Maybe I'll find some video of some rail gun tests.

after the initial ignition and the other rockets ignite.....I can not believe how fast that thing takes off. I do not recall ever seeing anything that I was actually able to see the acceleration like that.

I can vouch for the impact... At 30mph I put a triple ball trailer hitch through the front end of my Aspire and totaled the car. A semi truck? Well... I've seen those run over a car - ANY car - and render it virtually unrecognizable, and pretty much the only way to identify the person in the vehicle was from DNA in the blood everywhere. If for no other reason this goes to show that when you see (fre)IGHTLI(ner) in your rear view mirror and you're not stopped at a red light, you should probably change lanes yesterday.

So let's see......turboed BP motor to get Casper up to speed, then rockets kick in at about 100 MPH....probably should reserve this for the hwy; city streets might be a little dangerous.....Greg, you have any contacts in aerospace that could help us out?

Edit: or maybe do this to the Aspire; call it the Revenge of the Aspire since Mythbusters used one in the rocket test.

Assuming Mach 1 is 761.2 MPH and the acceleration is linear (it's not), I get 4/100 of a second.
