According to the news report, the dealership had no alarm system.
The crooks broke through two sets of doors, into a safe for the keys, jumpstarted the GT40, and pushed a Mustang out of the way to steal it!
An alarm system and competent monitoring would have prevented this. You'd think any dealership with the money to sell a GT40 would be so equipped!
