I love the original Minis, don't really care for the new BMW ones much. The originals had more character. But the Festiva is a much better car than the original Mini, in practicality, fuel mileage and longevity.

Nice Festy tribute!! someone should make a documentary about festivas, all the great festiva rescue tales should be put into video.

Tom, have you driven a new Mini? They are a lot of fun and stock they handle much better than a Festiva. However, you can't compare the technology since there's a ~10 year gap. And there's a big difference in price You also can't compare a Festiva to the original mini when you consider that there's almost 30 years between them.
