  • Tweak Unplugged!!

Filmed some footage with the the GoPro Hero HD. I used a Zoom H4N to record sound. There is a microphone placed a few inches from the inlet to my airbox and one in the cabin behind the harness bar, recorded in stereo. Let me know what you guys think of the setup. Sorry for the smudge on the camera lens, didn't see that until it was too late.

And heres a quick third gear burst from 80mph.

Thanks man! Stock xr2 diverter valve in the stock location. You can hear it so well because the mic is right by the airbox in the engine bay.

I would have never guessed that. Sounds like it's venting to atmosphere.

looks like it is time to install some power steering.....looked like there were some instances where you struggle to turn the steering wheel.

I removed the power seatbelt tracks and that's what the trim snapped to, I'll probably strip the tracks and reinstall the top part to put the trim back in, but it also interferes with the harness bar.

no trouble at all, I was actually bracing myself with the wheel in those parts, it may not look that gnarly on the video, but that road is like riding a bull at times, but I don't get disqualified if I use both hands, lol.

Thanks guys for the compliments, glad you enjoyed the ride! Don't forget to check out Chris's video in the new fiesta R2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbKTs-hC0bM

K, I'm jacking my own thread with a dumb question that has probably been asked dozens of times Chris, do I have to run the early style headliner for those pillar covers? I have a set from an 88, but they don't look right with the cardboard headliner, it leaves a gap.

Thanks Mattman! The car doesn't sound like that in person, it's actually really quiet, but the microphone by the airbox gives the sound that is expected in a video like this. Hollywood trickery! Lol!
