I don't see why they considered that the end of the car. What's the fun in breaking it if you don't fix it and break it again? Kids today have no respect for good engineering, that car had a lot more life left. When I was growing up we used to flip cars over, push 'em back onto their wheels and get them running and go do it again. When the car was impossible to get running again it was usually turned into a bonfire, then after that it was used for target practice for a few years, then covered with dirt for a motorcycle jump. We got our moneys worth out of every car.
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

I appreciate the end of the video showing all the signatures on the headliner. I guess it did have a happy life, but dang, what a way to go out...

I donno , I think it may have ripped the LCA-to-body mount/bolt. The lower tire is way inside.

Either way that was a HARD hit and I honestly would not have wanted to be the driver.

Someone should have traded them a couple hours use of their sandrail for the festiva, then they could all take turns hitting the jump and the festiva wouldn't have been compromised. I hate seeing festivas destroyed. We always destroyed cars that nobody would want, except for 1 Chevy luv and a pretty nice old suby wagon, but those weren't mine. I wonder where the red festiva jump car is now.

usually I entered cars in a demolition derby to give them there last 20mins of glory before considering them dead. Some got entered more than once because they refused to die. Yes these videos make me a little upset, but not everyone considers these little cars a treasure and that one looks like it wanted to deliver fun all the way up to its last moment. RIP dirty bird, but there are people waiting for you in festiva heaven.
