        eh I still don't get the whole ''stretched tire'' fad... seems retarded IMO

          it has it's roots in CAN-AM and SCCA racing... cars were forced to run a regulated tire width but the rim width was not regulated and teems soon learned that a stretched tire performed better and more consistantly that ones that bulged.
          Trees aren't kind to me...

          currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
          94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

            And, most recently, the stretch technique has been adopted to drifting, as it supports the tire sidewall better for a more consistent drift. Drifting mixed with aero mods, we see on race cars and time attack, has spurred the stance style, or more appropriately the rebirth of this style. It's sort of the new lowrider.

              I cant stand the super cambered look. I know they do it because they think it looks cool, but to me it just screams lazy lowering job.
