camel spider

My nephew from Independance Mo was staitioned in Afghanistan, some of his buds thought it would be funny to punk him, they made up a dummy camel spider, if your not familiar with that spider it's about 8-10 long, can run as fast as you and screams like a banchee, so these guys put this thing under the covers at the foot of the bed with a string tied to it, as Josh started to fall asleep, they started pulling this thing up his leg, well Josh throws off the covers sees this thing moving, grabs his side arm, by this time the guy pulling the string is now running full tilt out the door draging this home made spider while Josh is firing his pistol trying to kill it, once the guy was out the door he let go of the string and was hiding around the corner. Once the smoke cleared they had a good laugh, but Josh did face some kind of disciplinary action.

That is a fake guys.. the film isn't even in focus at all so it's not.. i live in victoria and we don't have anything that big down here.

Generally, our wildlife is pretty placid, and will only attack when feeling threatened.. therefore.. GOLDEN RULE.. Don't intentionally go and piss the animal off like that clown in the video, even thought it's a fake.

In Queensland and up in the northern parts, Possibly.. can anyone from North Australia confirm this please?

I don't know why so many are calling it fake, go to Wikipedia and type in huntsman spider, it says they get 10-12 inch legspan which fits the description of the spider in that video, I say it's a real video and im glad I wasn't there when it was filmed!!
