Here's the actual route we took from Wedge Pond to the Boulton Creek Trading Post as per Google maps.

The video starts at Wedge Pond with the first one out of the lot being me in my daughter's car. After me comes Bob (bolokid), then Casey, Wilf, Tom (tommychu), my wife in my car with Brad bringing up the tail end with the GoPro mounted on the windshield. The first two and a half minutes is on Highway 40, the remaining time is on the Kananaskis Lakes Trail ending at the Boulton Creek Trading Post parking lot. After this we continued up the road to the Upper Kananskis Lake.

Yeah me too, that looks like so much fun, we have flat roads with no elevation change here lol.

I've always wanted to drive the tail of the dragon in NC.

That's on my bucket list too. Maybe next time I come down for Madness I'll make a point of doing just that! It's only 350 miles west of Raleigh.
