I wanna do that!!!! That looks like fun the only thing that I have done near as close is jumping out off a helicopter into the atlantic ocean from about 210 feet but the 11,000 sounds like fun I wanna try that but my fiance would probably KILL me if I didn't die from the jump.

I did that 37 times while I was in the military as an AR. And I didn't like it every single time. Changed MOS because of it. (BMs don't have to jump out planes) Some people like it, but others like myself believe it's crazy to throw yourself out of a perfectly good airplane. And from my perspective let me say this.. when you first jump there are 2 small lumps in your throat that keep you from screaming.. and NO it's not your lunch.. that comes up later!!

I love sky diving, I got up to level 4 on my AFF certification before I had to change colleges. I am saving up to finish my skydiving level A certification this summer. I have a video of me on my level 4 (which I failed) because I couldn't stop rotating clockwise (posture is super important in the sky) my one foot was about a inch lower that the other in the arch position and it threw my aerodynamics off. I wish I had the video on dvd and not vhs, so I could post it. They even caught me smacking my head on the wing support when I jumped off.

I still remember my first jump which was tandem with the instructor strapped to me. THe say everyone gets sensory overload that has never done anything like it. About the only thing I remember isthe ride up, and the fall out, and a baseball field I could see from 12k all the way down to 4k when I pulled the shoot.

You would get a kick out of my video for the level 4 because I nearly took out my videographer on landing, landed right on top of him almost.

no damit, dont ruin the feeling! I believe you can send it into like kodak or something and have it transfered, that or find a friend with a video capture card, hook up the VCR to it, and digitize the video, then burn it to DVD. I do have a video capture card capable but I havent bothered to try.

I actually had a dream about skydiving about 2 days ago, then yesturday someone mentioned something to me about my skydiving, then this thread. It inspired me to continue my jumps, I contacted my jumpzone, which I love www.mohawkvalleyskydiving.com and requested some info on starting back up with them. I need 1500-2000 dollars to finish everything dependin on what they make me repeat for levels, and if I get it videoed. I figure may or june im gonna get freaky!

Well if you ever grow some balls, and have a brain fart in the same day, I suggest taking that free jump. Its something you will never regret, as long as your chute opens :-)
