Members with Festiva videos check inn...

Hi,

I just got an idea from a member to make a video of only festivas,aspires.It would be cool to post this on street fire and other site to show what we got.I have plenty of video and can make more.Project B6T has and can make more too,Freds video would be cool to add and many more that I have seen.
This would have to include performance only,Like racing of any kind,burnouts...ect.ect.

I have some video experience but it would be better if someone better @ video editing to do it.

What do you all think?

Nice, Everyone that could make new video is welcomed to do so.This would be way better.I would make some vs. some cars to make it more interesting.

I want to see us compilate about an hour worth of festiva video, ranging from everything from donuts, to races, to our meets. I think if we could get someone to do a good job editing, music, and burn it on DVD's we could all buy a copy and help support our ever growing community.

that would be awesome, if we did have basically a full length video of nothing but racing etc. with festivas, i would definatley buy a couple copies

This is a partial autox run. This is with my old $20 camcorder, and the battery is bad enough that it couldn't even last for the one minute run. The sound isn't really that bad, the engine really did sound like complete shit.

I now have a digital camera that can do videos, and it has a little better quality, but the sound is worse. I'm going to redesign the mount and I plan on using it this whole autox season. I am also signed up for a track day with the BMW club, in may. I intent to borrow or buy a better digital camcorder for that, and I should get some nice passing shots.

Does anyone have ideas for a camera mount? It has to be solid, and can't be in a place where I would hit it in a crash. My current mount, used in the autox video, is a bolt stuck through the right rear speaker shelf. It gets a good view, but I wish it was higher.

I tried to download the vid and I got a error downloading codec, but that may be because im at work.

Hopefully I will have a mount on my roll cage to mount my camera to, but if not I will just get someone getting footage from outside.

For an idea on a easy mount that you wont hit, I really don't know what your camera looks like, but bolt the camera up to a tripod (your typical extendable kind) set it in your passenger seat, and take a bungie cord or tie down rachet strap, and run the strap around the tripod and around the seat, and make it as tight as possible. Yeah its ghetto fab, but it would be solid, mostly out of yoru way in case of an accident, and be right at eye level for everyone watching what your seeing :-)

I think the track inspectors would turn that away. A friend tried just strapping his camera to the headrest, and they wouldn't allow that either.

I used an xvid codec IIRC. I'll mount my new camera and take a picture from that position later, just to get the view point.

I was also thinking about at least one hour footage,Selling them to support the site is a great idea.it would be the best to have high quality video if its going into a dvd.
I should start making some cool clips sometime soon......

i plan to take a vid of a burnout tomorrow. does it have to me a unhelped burnout or can i put sumthing on the tires to make them spin easier since my E-brake dosent work too well
