^^^again... IT's A WAR ZONE!!! That's a pretty good reason all by itself. Where just being in an American Vehicle makes you a TARGET!! And since THEY ARE TARGETS, anyone near them are collateral damage. Uh.. This is the Iraq war where small weapons fire, IEDs and RPGs are aimed at killing Americans daily without any care of the civillians that happen to be around them at the time. We have specific rules of engagement to keep casualties to a minimum whereas the enemy does not.

Doesn't ANYONE have a clue what it's like to be shot at? If you do, multiply that by 150, and that's WAR! The fact that this is even being debated is just unbelievable. COMMON SENSE says if your driving through unsecured territory, you don't sit there and become a war casualty or statistic.

Unless someone has the military experience to say why this is wrong for everyone in that place at that time, we are all just being armchair quarterbacks.. BTW, this doesn't look like a casual trip to the local Iraqi 7-11.
