        That was crazy! The pick up tube that got cut had to have flexed for it to go into the blades. Don't you guys think so? If so that seems like a design flaw to me.

          nope... gyroscopes have a very high flex range that was probably not desighed for the 20 foot fuel pick up..

              So the blades are what flexed? Maybe the pick up tube should have been mounted lower?
