  • Oswego Show : V8 Festiva

This weekend a freind emailed me about a car show and a festiva with a V8 in it, I didnt pay much attention to it because I was occupied with getting ready for school and stuff. I was reading on here how you guys were talking about trying to find pictures of the car... well don't worry boys i got this one! lol

Below is the link to a site that has all the pics listes Just scroll down to the part where it mentions "The above mentioned festiva.... looks different from the outside, rides higher for some reason.... wonder what it could be...."

This thing looks insane two big :thumbleft: :thumbright: to who ever made this beast!

Maybe reverse wheelies, its FWD ONLY. According to my friends, the guy used a Jeep transmission and made it FWD, If you notice the exhaust stacks actually stick out the roof, and have actuators to go from wide open exhaust to stock exhaust.

I see, the motor is mounted backwards. Didn't notice that at first.

The guy seemed to think it was a Ford engine, but that's a SB GM water pump hanging off the engine there, plus the distributor's not up front where it should be. It's either a SB Chev V8, or a 4.3.

I do admire the 1 off qualitys of this car......but I do have to agree with others.....there is no way he would get a good track time with that car......it's Fwd with a huge engine in the back and no weight in the front....a B6T or BPT would have been money and time better spent....

                        However.........

Maby just maby this car was designed for burnout compatitions.....????

With all that weight in the back /FWD/power/small tires....it would do awsome......plus with the sound of that engine coming out of that car.....I bet he would take 1st place all day long.........just a thought 8)
Previous owner of 8 festivas... looking for number 9

He showed up at another car show just to do burn outs the other week, I have a feeling that is exactly what it is for. However it is usiing a jeep transmission, so it has me wondering if its 4wd but he only uses it in 2wd.... I would like to find out more, but have yet to find out any owner information.

It is only 2wd, can tell from the grease covers on the back two wheels... Not 4wd, or AWD.. -Kyle
