  • The trip to Missouri

It was a long trip but I'm glad it's over. Knowing that I have to fly back on the seventh of next month to do it again with another car. The mitsu i grenaded the tranny about one week ago. These bottom two pictures is what i had crammed into the festiva.

Because of the overload of stuff I incountered this problem in Needles, CA which is also where i have the break down problem. When i was jacking up the car to pound out the wheel wells i guess i dropped the jack to fast and it triggered the switch. It took me the chiltons manual that i bought at Napa to figure the problem out. Sixteen bucks well spent in my opinion.

Here is a random picture i took (the only one at that) in New Mexico.

OMG someone sneezed on my engine block

This happened in Oklahoma exit 7 clutch was toast too, couldn't go past 70 mph. LOL but this didn't stop me, or my beast of a car that was overloaded to the gills. She still made it, and I'm proud of her. No check engine light came on till Racine exit it Joplin where i coasted it home and into the garage. Now it's headgasket/clutch changing time.

BTW thanks for calls to my phone. John sorry i didn't call you back. At least i have your number on file now in case i break down between here and Ohio. I'll need the technical support.

I really had no concern until OKlahoma. Every hill i came to thought it was gonna be my last. Yeah all that stuff was rediculous but i had to take it. I think the trip is about 1507 miles if I'm not mistaken, i could be wrong though could be more. I never take a map i know the way by heart 60 east, 15 north, 40 east,o 44 east, exit Joplin.

I've made the trip about 8 times now with personal cars/trucks and with moving vans. I have lived in CA the past four years, last year August I moved the family back to Missouri. I finally wrapped all the work over in CA, and landed a job in my home state. So I'm here to stay in Missouri now.

I have my own truck set up for it, i may do it on the side for extra cash. No I don't work for an autoglass company anymore. I got a job in Joplin at able truck and body. All i do is paint yard goat, crane, and desiel cabs. Third shift weekends off from friday morning to sunday night.
