The Enfield is a great Deer gun, lots of punch 180 - 190 gr. bullet, faster is the 150 gr. now manufactured by many ammo companies.
Many don't know it is the fastest operating bolt action rifle ever made. I have a '41 sporterized, cheap, great bore, accurate and I have gotten 10 shots in a 4" bullseye @ 100 yds. open sights. I also got 5 shots off at a running deer target. The guys with the automatics had there mouths open at the sight of a bolt action moving that fast. I only hit that target once out of five shots, head shot.it runs so sweet
