  • Capri with a Festiva brake swap

Got to have some way to tow it to a junkyard.

Size difference of the two. My foot is on the festiva one holding it up.

But anyways I got my brake swap almost done today. No pictures of the actual brakes on the car because I'm getting new bushings for the tie rod and lower control arm.

Here are pictures of my swap so far.

Engine and transmission are ready to be put into the bay.

    Side saddle engine transplant.

Still trying to get the engine squared up as you can tell from the tranny mount angle.

Hmm looks like I'll have to make a bracket.

THE WIRE LOOM OF DOOM! Also a shot of the temporary engine mount.

    In, Sorta.

I got a Triumph Spitfire radiator that I'm having a new outlet put on so I'll get pictures of that. It fits in the space between the radiator support and the lower support. Also I have a Neon FMIC I'm plumbing but I hope to have it running within the month. Then I'll work on making it pretty.

I'll get pictures of them on after I replace the bushings.

They bolt right on. There has been some talk of the lower control arm bushing being at a wierd angle but that might change when there is weight compressing the spring.
