  • Huge Mushroom

A girl we let hunt on the property stopped by the house today to show me a couple of mushrooms she found this morning. She said there were some other ones as big or bigger but she left them. Ive never seen anything like them. Ill have to research them to find out what they are. I wonder if they are edible. That's a regulation size softball.

        You going to eat it?

EDIT: Now you got me wanting mushrooms. I'm going to the store and buying some right now.

You could add them as a filler in a soup.

Growing up we had these mushrooms in this field nearby. They were NOT that big tho. We would just have wars with them.

i would make a good beefy mushroom soup, hollow out one of those suckers, and serve it in the mushroom!

                  it would be a hit

Slice like steaks, saute' in butter and garlic and onions, cut into 3/4" cubes and add to soup, batter and fry, Just don't eat them if they are at all yellow inside. I don't know if they will make you sick but they will tast baadd for sure.
Cut in half first and check for yellow. The smaller ones are the most firm and better tasting.kinda between softball and soccerball sized.
                      it runs so sweet

Those are Amanita Muscaria, or Fly Agaric.. Poison... er, well, at least halucinoginic... but dangerous, not at all like Psilocybe Cubensis.... I wouldn't mess with those... (at least not at my age...lol)

Edit, could be Amanita Frostiana.... similar
