Repainted grill and a liitle update

My grill was getting a little rock chipped ,and the paint was wearing a little thin since my last grill mod .

I repainted the grill today .
I also took the mesh out and thought I would fix it where it was mounted , where birds had hit it and knocked it loose in several spots .

I wondered how a color matched mesh grill would look .. so I painted it too and I like it

I also gave it a little rubbing today .. (Meguires glaze ), trying to get it ready for Ohio .

Hey, I like the white grill, that looks cool ! That's a new strut brace and a different bra too isn't it ?? I thought you had a full nose bra ?

Man, I really don't care what all other non Festiva owners think. There is just something to be said about these little thingies. Especially when they are clean like this one. I can't wait to get mine done.

Thanks , mine has came a long way from what it looked like when I bought it 4 years ago .

Freshtiva , yes I do still have the full bra , I bought this one some time ago from Simon , I have had it on for a while now , just have not taken too many pics of it lately . I bought it from him in June .

I did post a pic of it but I am not sure if you could see it .
The strut brace has been on since the first of the year , It was there when we went to Colorado :lol:

That big bra was hiding your festivas natural good looks. Looks like you're going to have to bust the piggy bank and get you a new drivers side headlight though. It looks different, maybe its just the picture.

Yes it is cloudy , I tried to tint my own bulb , everything was fine , then I put one more coat on the bulb and it went up in smoke and filled the capsule with a haze smoke :lol:

Well That did it for me. As soon as I can find some mesh, i'm taking the dremel to my grill.

Looks good - my only suggestion would be to finish off the grill... What I mean is, cut those little tabs that are left on the sides where the middle bar ran (a Dremel with a cutoff wheel should work perfectly for that) and then glass/bondo it so that it's smooth and filled in.

As it looks now, it's just "uncompleted". It still looks good, but it could look better too!

^^ I know , I meant to do that a long time ago , and was going to finish it this time , I was in a hurry to get it back in .

I wanted to make it look similar to the Scion grills that have the mesh painted to match .

I really am glad I did that , I was a little skeptical to paint the mesh at first ,but it looks a lot different now .

I am going to try something a little different this winter when I get another 80's grill .

I have just been driving it everyday and neglecting it a little , so I gave it a treat to a shine and the smell of fresh paint . :lol: :lol:
