I've been using the samsung A630 for a couple of years now. I've bragged on how tough it is to everyone. I told the verizon people the same thing. They said everyone says that they are tough. My phone fell out of my car. I didn't notice until I came back out. When I saw it it looked fine. I picked it up and realized it had been run over When I saw tire marks on the keypad and a small gouge out of the battery. IT STILL WORKS!!! PERFECTLY!!!!!    I might add that I put this phone together from 2 broken phones. One worked but had a black screen, the other powered up but didn't get a signal. I put together the good parts and made this phone for $11.50.

Man, if your phone still works after being run over by a car, I wonder what happened to the two broken phones you used for parts to make them not work.
I have an LG 8300. I like the phone but I have had it in to the Verizon reps for repairs or replacement at least 4 times in the past 3 months. I am about to tell them where they can... and get something else.
Samsung A630 huh! Are they still available? At the local retailers that is.-Bryant

No they are discontinued, but you can get them used for cheap on ebay. Like maybe $25 - $40 for a good one. That's where I got the parts to make this one.youtube.com/neanderpaul 88 festiva LX w/BP G25 MR 5 speed waiting for wiring- 93 Festiva GL auto w/ air, waiting for B6t/G4A-HL - 98 Nissan Quest - 02 Mazda protege 5 wife's DD

My Kyocera slider remix has been washed twice, and had a good 20 second stint in the bottom of the toilet! It still works fine!

When a phone gets wet the NUMBER ONE thing to do is leave it off until it is dry. You can pop them apart and spray with electrical contact cleaner. You can also put them in front of a fan after the spray to dry them out the rest of the way. It usually isn't a death sentence to drop them in water. A toilet though?
