I've got some some passive solar in the house when the sun shines. Lots of firewood, free for the taking if you discount the work to gather it. Fire wood will warm you up twice. :wink: I usually get the wood stove going in the garage when it gets real cold. It keeps the festies snug. Plus I can usually sell enough fire wood to pay my heating bill. Much better deal than burning the wood myself. It helps keep the property clean too. I once considered a mini hydro-electric generator in my creek. That was back in my Mother Earth News days. Lately I've been thinking about a corn stove and growing my own corn .
Hey, a solar car port to charge up my electric festiva.... now that's an idea. :idea:sigpic
